Glenwood Canyon Half-Day Raft Trip in Colorado

Overview
If we only had two to three hours to spend on the water and wanted show our friends or family what it's like to experience the thrill of Class III Colorado whitewater rafting and the beauty of Glenwood Canyon, this would be the trip we'd take them on. And if we only had two hours because everyone had plans after the trip, well, we'd probably cancel them so we could all go rafting.

It's perfect for first-timers, families, and people who like experiencing life rather than Snapchatting it.

Defiance Rafting does a A+ job at taking care of clients, creating a culture of fun, and keeping safety as their main priority. The guides are kind. The company is a HUGE supporter of community and conservation. As a local, I don't recommend any other rafting company to friends when they come to town.

Hi, Sarah! Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We take what we do seriously and that includes our responsibility for being good and doing good in our community. But as seriously as we take those responsibilities, we never take ourselves seriously. Put another way, we strongly support having a darn good time! We appreciate your nod of support; it's not taken for granted. Take care and we look forward to seeing you again soon! ā€“ Gregory

I have already done Rafting earlier and when my friend booked it again. I was thinking wat different it could be. The one I did was in Pune,India and it was great.. i loved the whole adventure of rapids and jumping in water. This one was a new experience again. our guide Scott (Sorry I forgot his last name ) was superb..He was jovial and well aware of what and how to handle things. He kept explaining everything thru out out trip. The scenic beauty and the rapids made this trip memorable . It is a good experience and safe as well.

Thank you for circling back! We're big fans of the variety in the Glenwood Canyon Half-Day. Some Class III - IV whitewater with an extended set of scenery and relaxation. Glad to hear you think so too! And of source, Scott's fun times out there on the water as well. Take care and we hope to see you again soon! ā€“ Gregory

My 3 teenage daughters and I signed up for the half-day raft trip where we went down Shoshone in the raft & then paddled in the duckies (inflatable kayaks) the remainder of the way. Shoshone was a crazy ride! We rode in the front of the raft & got tossed around & SOAKED. That was a blast! We wanted to get out & do it again! At the end of Shoshone, we pulled out & us four girls got in our own duckie to paddle the remainder of our trip in. None of us had been in a kayak before so we had to figure that out quick. Our guide helped us out by telling us what to do. He was a very friendly, helpful, & comical guy. He talked us through everything the entire trip so we felt pretty secure to handle whatever came our way or know that help was always there if needed. We had so much fun & were sad when our trip came to an end. We could've kayaked all day! Defiance Rafting was a great company to book thru & deal with. I did everything online & it was pretty easy. Everyone we encountered was super friendly, upbeat, funny, & eager to assist. I definitely recommend their organization & would go again if I'm in the area! We also ordered their picture package. So glad we did cuz we couldn't take our phones/cameras on the trip. I loved looking through all the pics. They got some great shots! I never would've gotten some of the pics they did when we were getting smashed by the rapids! Impressive and comical!

Thank you for circling back, Cari! I'm so glad to hear your experience getting out on the river with your daughters hit the mark; it sounds like a pretty fantastic day out there. Also glad to hear the booking and logistical side was easy peasy as well. That's the idea! Hopefully, we get to see you again soon. Maybe we'll do an extended set while on the inflatable kayaks? Take care! ā€“ Gregory
