If we only had two to three hours to spend on the water and wanted show our friends or family what it's like to experience the thrill of Class III Colorado whitewater rafting and the beauty of Glenwood Canyon, this would be the trip we'd take them on. And if we only had two hours because everyone had plans after the trip, well, we'd probably cancel them so we could all go rafting.

Great adventure and the company is definitely a top-shelf operation! Great, clean and very well maintained gear and safety equipment. The Colorado is a mighty river...go in eyes wide open and with a good group as a swim in these waters from a mistake can be a very serious endeavor. Would not take my young kids or anyone not comfortable swimming in heavy water if the flows are high or the water is super cold. Great operation, competent guides with a great sense of humor. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Our trip with Defiance was super fun! Thrilling in the beginning with the biggest rapids towards the front, and ended more chill with time to have a jump and swim in the river too. It was adventurous for adults, yet safe and fun! Our raft guide Ben was a lot of fun, very knowledgable about the area and always made sure we were comfortable and having fun! We were very confident in his raft guide skills and he also had some fun jokes to through in too! Highly recommend Defiance as a raft company in Glenwood and Ben as a raft guide! Thanks Ben!
