Oh my goodness! What terrific value!! This card let us explore places we might not have if we wouldn't have had the card! We had our MUST do list for Hawaii, but this card let us explore even more and it was FANTASTIC!!!
Note: Pay attention to attractions that need reservations and BOOK them! Some really book up fast! Also pay attention to attraction closures (catamaran, hanauma bay, etc). Some attractions are closed once a week for maintenance and/or to just be closed for a day. Make your schedule around the closures! Don't miss out! Use a calendar to 'map' out which attractions to see and when.
No one EVER made us feel less than for using the Go Card and we never felt like our experience was less than because we didn't pay out right for attraction.
Due to the schedule of the people in my party, I purchased a 5 day and a 7 day pass. I was able to easily download the cards on my phone, and I did not have any trouble with the attractions 'scanning' my card for admission. (check out Groupon for add'l discounted prices)
Another note: Some attractions let you upgrade the attraction if you like, it was NEVER forced. For example, we chose the Polynesian Cultural Center as our Premium attraction, but we wanted to upgrade to the Ambassador pkg. We were able to with ease and for only $25 more pp. Travel via their shuttle from Waikiki was an add'l $25pp, but so WORTH it!!!
The attractions we visited with the Go Card: Polynesian Cultural Center (excellent!), Diamond Head (gorgeous/exhilarating), Bishop's Museum (excellent!!), Pearl Harbor City Tour (get the audio tour for FREE with the Go card!) (Excellent, a MUST DO), Makani Catamaran Sail (Awesome!), Makapu'u Lighthouse Hike (ok - I would do the waterfall hike instead next time), Sealife Animal Park (nice), Kualoa Ranch Movie Site Tour (Excellent), Hanauma Bay Snorkeling (Great!) (at the park pay the extra for the tram $1.25 each way or the all day price (it was $5 or less).
There was SOOOOOO much more we wanted to do with the Go Card (like the waterfall hike, rent the bike/scooter, see the palace, see all the ships/subs at Pearl Harbor, etc), but between traffic, the Waikiki Trolley (not affiliated with Go Card) skipping our stop or just being plain worn out, we'd have to revamp plans a little bit.
Tipping!!! Do not forget to tip the bus and shuttle drivers, tour guides, sailing personnel, etc. I found everyone was always helpful with directions, questions, giving city information, sharing tips about the area/restaurants, and just being an all around good guide for their city.
