The entrance to Seaworld was super easy and we were thankful for that. Taking a boat ride on the Riverwalk proved to be more challenging and we never got to do it as all the ticket offices were closed when we wanted to go. It was only around 7, so very frustrating.

Passes were easy to use. I called each place I planned to visit first just to be sure I didn't need to make reservations first (due to COVID) and had no issues. It turned out to be a great deal for our family. We went to Sea World, the zoo, Witte Museum, Legoland Discovery Center, and the amazing mirror maze.

You can find great deals in San Antonio (and I am sure other cities as well) without being locked into this pass, which I found to be peppered with technicalities and red tape. You wonā€™t lose anything by waiting to see whatā€™s available to you and keeping your options open. Do yourself a favor, take a look around the Riverwalk, Alamo Plaza, etc. and you will find lots of choices and good deals. I We ended up paying double what our activities SHOULD have cost with Go City Pass (we lost over $100 basically). Why? For one thing, we carefully followed instructions on the Go City website that turned out to be incorrect. We were notified on our last day of vacation by our tour operator in the wee hours of the morning, 15 minutes before we were supposed to depart, that we were in fact not booked and had been canceled. The tour operator sounded about as happy as we were. Go Cityā€™s admitted their portion of responsibility for this mistake (in short, incorrect website information). Based on their part of the error, youā€™d think they might go the extra mile to help find a win-win resolutionā€¦ well, I guess that depends on how you define resolve? Their thoughtful suggestion was that we go on a very brisk morning walk in cold, drizzly weather over the RiverWalk and beg one of the vendors we had already used to retract one of our vouchers to free it up to use on the presently canceled tour. Who wants to have that awkward conversation? I donā€™t. And besides, that tour bus had already driven away, folks. We ate the loss. I hope you head the warning of my tragic tale and that I have saved at least one soul from a similar vacation snafu (not to mention dent to the pocketbook). If, however, you choose to proceed anywayā€¦ I recommend you READ THE SMALL PRINT (including instructions on how to redeem your pass, including the three sections on each activity ā€œGetting there,ā€ ā€œHours of Operations,ā€ and particularly ā€œKnow Before You Goā€), then VERIFY THAT SAME INFORMATION WITH BOTH THE VENDOR DIRECTLY and with Go City Pass. If I had done this maybe things would have turned out ok. Alas, the pitfalls of pre-paying for anythingā€”once they have your money in their pockets, you donā€™t have a whole lot of power.
