What To Expect

Adventure Sixty North

The canvas-covered log framed structure where we pan for gold is located just across from our walking bridge, between our office and the gift shop. Depending on the salmon run, we can often spy salmon in the creek. The covered troughs allow us to stay dry while panning, which makes this the perfect activity, rain or shine!

My husband loved this experience so much, he wishes it would have lasted all day. The instructor was patient and knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of interesting historical and scientific information. My only criticism would be the short length, although many tourists may prefer that. We just wanted it to last longer.

Gold Panning here was a definite highlight of our trip! The expert was fascinating and a great instructor. I wish that I could hear more of his stories! He was very good with my young son and we enjoyed gold panning very much. A must do!
