What To Expect

Assateague Lighthouse

We will take you on a grand adventure around Assateague Island. We will get to see the Assateague Lighthouse from the water, which is the best view of the Lighthouse.

Chincoteague Island

We might get a chance to see the wild Chincoteague ponies. We will take you to the most remote areas of the islands to spot rare native birds. This boat tour is great for all ages.

My sister and I made a long-awaited trip to Chincoteague/Assateague, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with this boat excursion. Captain John was so knowledgeable about the geography, wildlife and aquaculture practices of the area, and we were able to see many ponies, sea birds, and other animals. He was so interesting and accommodating. I highly recommend this trip!

You want to take this tour! Since it’s April, Captain John contacted us to make sure we came on a day with optimum weather conditions. On that day, he showed us the ponies, a bald eagle, oystercatchers, many other shorebirds, and oyster beds. He also told us about Spanish shipwrecks that occurred many centuries ago. The boat was very comfortable, and the ride most pleasant. Enjoy!

It was still early in the season,so we were the only ones on the boat. Capt don was very personable and answered our questions. Saw lots of wildlife...bald eagles,ospreys,iris,condors, oyster dippers. Explained about the oyster beds,which I thought was rocks!. All in all it was great. Would recommend
