I had heard good things about this tip and was really looking forward to it. I knew it would be cold at the Grand Canyon in February - We went on Saturday, February 17, 2019. However, the trip did not even go to the Navajo reservation at all. We had all of a 10 minute stop at a ranger station in Sedona. We got to purchase lunch in a gas station stop and eat it in the van. Supposedly so that we would have more time at the Canyon. We only had one stop at the canyon - the web site indicates a couple of places. We got back to the hotel more than 2 hours early. While we enjoyed the Grand Canyon, the trip seemed to be a huge disappointment compared to what was described. In addition, the guide kept the microphone on all the time, even when not talking and we were privileged to hear his every cough and sneeze amplified throughout the van. We could even hear the windshield wipers swishing back and forth! The guide also had a penchant for making political comments which were entirely unnecessary and unwelcome.

Thank you for your review of the Grand Canyon tour. Unfortunately, the weather can greatly affect this tour. This winter was unusually difficult due to it being an El Nino year. We will always make safety our first concern, even if it means we are unable to do the entire tour.

Bee took us on a fun-filled educational trip to the Grand Canyon. She filled the drive time, 3+ hours each way, with the most educational discussion of everything Arizona. Her recommendations for local food at the Navajo Reservation were spot-on. The stops along the south rim were equally impressive. It was well worth the cost.

Whilst on a short break to Phoenix we decided to do the 1 day trip to Sedona, Navajo Reservation and The Grand Canyon. After being picked up from our hotel lobby nice and early and doing the rounds to pick other party's up we started our day. Eric our guide made everyone feel welcome by introducing everyone to each other which was a nice little ice breaker. Eric gave an over view of the days activities to give everyone a greater understanding of what to expect. Eric's knowledge was extraordinary and anything that he was asked he had an answer for. He made the long drives alot more enjoyable and relaxed. Our first rest stop was at a service station to get some supplies if you wanted and for the toilet but whilst their we had a quick photo opp at some giant cactus that were in the area. Sedona was a brief stop at a view point to get some pictures and a vast amount of information from Eric. Next was the Navajo reservation and Cameron trading post. Whilst driving threw the area Eric explained about the reservation, buildings and other interesting facts. We stopped at Cameron trading post for a shop and lunch. The family had a variety of different meals which were all very nice, We also had time to do some shopping. The shop had a vast amount of different things to buy but were quite expensive. We left the reservation and continued on route to the Grand Canyon with more interesting information from Eric. At the grand canyon we made a number of stops which were all breath taking and nothing I have ever experienced before. It wasn't too busy which made all photo opportunities very painless. We stopped at the lodge and hopi house which gave another opportunity to shop and have a look around. We took some more photos and went down to have a look at the train station when the train was about to depart which was interesting. After over an hour looking around we started the journey back. We stopped on the way back at a service station for food and toilet break and continued on our way. Over all the the trip was great and definitely worth while. The drive is long but that is expected with the distance you have to cover. Eric was outstanding throughout the day and just added to the experience. If you get the opportunity to do this trip then do it.
