Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.
The total combined passenger weight (including pilot) cannot exceed 1240lbs (563kg)
There is a maximum capacity of seven (7) people per helicopter, plus your pilot.
Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

What To Expect

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air and ground on this helicopter tour from Las Vegas. After being picked up from your hotel approx 90 minutes prior to the flight time listed, you'll be driven to the heliport where you’ll board your air-conditioned Eco-Star helicopter. On your way to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, soar over Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead.

Hoover Dam

As you fly over the Hoover Dam, you'll be left in awe at this particularly spectacular sight from the air, curved between the rock canyon walls. Marvel at this architectural wonder and enjoy the amazing views of the recently built bypass bridge. During your flight, you can listen to a recorded commentary about the Grand Canyon and its surrounds via headphones.

Grand Canyon West

As you reach the Grand Canyon and fly deeper and further into the canyon than any other helicopter tour, land on a private bluff overlooking the flowing Colorado River. From this incredible perch over 3,000 feet below the canyon rim, toast to your experience with a glass of Champagne and a light snack. While you celebrate and relax under an authentic Native American ramada shelter, your pilot will be happy to answer any questions you have about the canyon or your helicopter flight.

The Strip

Back in the helicopter, enjoy another 45-minute flight back to Las Vegas, this time flying over the world famous Strip. When you land, your transportation will be waiting to whisk you back to your hotel. Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

This was the highlight of our trip. Pick up at our location was perfect and no issue. We arrived at the check in sight and that went smoothly. We waited for about 30 minutes and was divided in to groups for different flights. Very shortly we were in the air. We had a cloudy day which made for a little more views. We stopped on the way to the Canyon to fuel up and rotate. Me and my wife were split up on one leg of the trip but not a big deal as we understood that would happen with number of people in the rest of flight. The pilot was great, informative, and prompt. The landing, drinks, and snack lunch were great. Really enjoyed the company of other travelers. Once we landed back at "base" we were very quickly taken back to our hotel. No issues or complaints. I would recommend this trip!!!!!

A friend and I booked a plane and helicopter tour from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon (West Rim) with Maverick (back in March 2019, so a little late on the review here) and the experience exceeded all expectations! Everything was very well organized, from hotel pickup, to the coordinated plane and helicopter rides, to information on shuttles when we arrived at the Grand Canyon etc. I had been to the South Rim before but this was my first time visiting the West Rim, and my first time flying into the canyon via helicopter! The views from the small plane as we flew over the canyon were as spectacular as from the helicopter, so you can't go wrong with either. Our pilots were beyond excellent and made the experience that much more awesome. The pilot of the plane (whose name I have woefully forgotten) was super nice, gave us so much information during the flight over to the Grand Canyon and offered to take pictures of us. John Fitzgerald was our helicopter pilot and he was an awesome dude! He was very nice, funny and has great taste in in-flight helicopter music lol. Thanks for the experience, and also for finding my Toronto Raptors hat which I left in the helicopter, oops (John if you see this, thank you!). Turned out to be lucky as the Raptors ended up winning the NBA championship this year, wohooo! Thank you once again to the great people at Maverick for the incredible experience, highly recommend!

The highlight of our 6week tour of the USA! Started out incredibly cautious about taking this experience, a bit like this was something I really didn’t want to do, but my Husband was super keen. It was truly awesome! Chris Palmer was an amazing pilot and fabulous for the “1st timer” in a helicopter. Truly can’t rate his skills highly enough. He was responsible for giving me/us a superb, never to be forgotten experience. A fabulous morning that I will always remember.
