Two friends and I took the helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon to celebrate the 70th birthday of one of the friends. It was a much anticipated trip. Unfortunately, when we got to the airport and were being given the preflight instructions by the pilot, another individual who would be on our flight announced that he was gravely ill. The pilot did not question this, but simply allowed him to board the helicopter, where he spent the entire trip with his head in a "barf bag". At the time we had no idea what the problem was, but were informed later by his girlfriend that he had a very bad hangover. She said they called Maverick and attempted to reschedule the trip, but were turned down. Spending the trip with a fellow passenger who is constantly throwing up is not what we had envisioned for this birthday celebration.
