Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.
The total combined passenger weight (including pilot) cannot exceed 1240lbs (563kg)
There is a maximum capacity of seven (7) people per helicopter, plus your pilot.

What To Expect

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air and ground on this helicopter tour from Las Vegas. After being picked up from your hotel approx 90 minutes prior to the flight time listed, you'll be driven to the heliport where you’ll board your air-conditioned Eco-Star helicopter. On your way to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, soar over Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead.

Hoover Dam

As you fly over the Hoover Dam, you'll be left in awe at this particularly spectacular sight from the air, curved between the rock canyon walls. Marvel at this architectural wonder and enjoy the amazing views of the recently built bypass bridge. During your flight, you can listen to a recorded commentary about the Grand Canyon and its surrounds via headphones.

Grand Canyon West

As you reach the Grand Canyon and fly deeper and further into the canyon than any other helicopter tour, land on a private bluff overlooking the flowing Colorado River. From this incredible perch over 3,000 feet below the canyon rim, toast to your experience with a glass of Champagne and a light snack. While you celebrate and relax under an authentic Native American ramada shelter, your pilot will be happy to answer any questions you have about the canyon or your helicopter flight.

The Strip

Back in the helicopter, enjoy another 45-minute flight back to Las Vegas, this time flying over the world famous Strip. When you land, your transportation will be waiting to whisk you back to your hotel. Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

I usually read reviews with a pinch of salt but Maverick were brilliant. From booking online we received a speedy email giving details of pick up times from our hotel (not all picked up from Virgin hotel so this was a bonus), exact place of pick up and what vehicle to look for. On the morning of our flight we had another message confirming all these details. Pick up was on time and smooth. At the base the check in was quick and efficient. We were weighed and given our group number, then a short wait (about 20 mins) before all the pilots came to claim their groups. Our pilot, Cole, was simply brilliant. We sat in the front on the way there, then swapped seats for the way back to the filling station then once again for the final stretch back to Las Vegas. Cole gave us a commentary pointing out so many things and giving us background information on each. The Hoover Damn was spectacular and the approach to the Canyon was just stunning. Landing in the Canyon was amazing and the peace, a sharp contract to Las Vegas! Cole was not just a great pilot but also had some great photography skills. We enjoyed a glass of fizz but because of the heat one was definitely enough then lots of cool water and a cold towel to cool us a little. The way back was just as informative and we even saw wild cattle and donkeys. I can’t recommend Maverick enough, they were simply superb. Thank you - definitely the highlight of our trip.

This is a must do activity, it is not cheap but well worth the money. Our pilot Jasmine was excellent, full of knowledge of the area and the Grand Canyon. We flew over the strip, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, landed in the Grand Canyon. We had champagne, soft drinks and snacks and on the flight back we landed for a quick refuel and flew back over the strip. It was very hot when we landed but when we refueled the temperature did drop by 20 degrees. Jasmine was happy to take photos of every one. We would recommend this trip.
