Overview

Currently the Park Service is not allowing us to mix groups due to COVID-19 safety procedures, so we are unable to provide this tour for less than 4 people. If you have a smaller group, please reach out to our company directly to discuss other options. By far our most popular hiking tour, this hike and sightseeing tour offers guests varying views of the Canyon, from the inside out. This tour is for guests who want to enjoy an excellent tour of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, but also spend some time below the Rim.

Enjoy a great tour with a knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic guide who loves what they do. We provide door-to-door service from your stay place with everything you need to have a great time. Grab your camera and leave the lunch, snacks, beverages, hiking equipment, and driving to us! We pick up in the following towns: Flagstaff, Williams, Tusayan, and Grand Canyon.

What To Expect

Yavapai Point

We start the day with a viewpoint where your guide will give a hiking orientation.

South Kaibab Trail

The hiking portion of this tour will traverse 3/4 of a mile down the South Kaibab to Ooh Aah Point and then go back up the same way you came. Weather and crowd permitting you will enjoy a picnic lunch at the viewpoint. This delicious lunch is made by Brandy's restaurant the morning of your tour. All your gear, such as backpacks and trekking poles is provided.

Grand Canyon South Rim

The rest of the day is spent traveling to various viewpoints along the South Rim in a comfortable air conditioned van or SUV. At each viewpoint we will exit the vehicle and your guide will spend time showing you views through the provided spotting scope and regale you with interpretation that includes information about the plants, animals, peoples, history, and archaeology of the Grand Canyon. The viewpoints included depend on weather, time of year, crowds, and guide preference. They may include, but are not limited to: Mather Point, Grandview Point, Moran Point, Tusayan Ruins, and Desert View Watchtower.

Thanks to Cari from All Star for helping us set up an amazing day for the family. Donny was excepcional. With all the crazy times in the world today. I can not think of a better way for a family to spend a day. They were attentive to our needs and wishes from beginning to end. Felt completely safe. If you are considering traveling to this area at this time do not hesitate to book. All Star is a 10 star company. The quality of snacks was unparalleled and the picnic lunch with the stunning view was memorable for us for years to come. Nature is a bonding experience and I wanted our teenage daughters to spend time in touch with things that have been around a long time and mission accomplished. All Star tours was amazing. Our guide Ben took our family to a beautiful viewpoint and then guided us on a 4 mile round trip hike into the Canyon. They provided tons of water and a delicious lunch. The shuttle was clean and modern. He wore a mask and was very cautious with both Covid safety measures and hiking guideline. Strong recommendation!!

I just went on this hike and sightseeing tour and had an amazing time. Our guide Ben was very aware of COVID-19 safety protocols that are currently mandated by law in the Flagstaff and Grand Canyon (masks are currently legally required when social distancing is not possible), and we were able to do this tour in a private capacity so we did not mix with any other group in the same vehicle (thank you so much!). Despite all that is going on in the world Ben did an amazing job helping us forget there was a pandemic by seamlessly integrating safety into an amazing day of fun and learning. His knowledge of the Canyon was unending and he knew where to hike for some amazing views. I cannot recommend Ooh Aah point enough as a hiking destination. Our vehicle was spotless and comfortable and our lunch was delicious. Well worth every penny. My family is definitely going to use this company again to do a backpacking trip to the bottom of the canyon when things get back to "normal."
