Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. This is also the staring point for Uncle Tom's Trail. The hike is a 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, through the forest out to Ribbon Lake, and then past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows with big views of the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this is it!

Hiking with friends and exploring parts of the park we wouldnā€™t have explored ourselves. Diversity of the park- the canyons, waterfalls, meadows, lake, ā€œbubbling cauldronā€ mud pots.

If I get the names right, Emily, Marissa and Decklan were great guides. Emily Jo was great with kids (not mine but it was impressive). But all three were knowledgeable and ready to field any question. We had the fun of having to go off the trail to avoid a bear sighting. We never saw a bear but safety definitely was topmost on their minds. I learned a lot and would use their services again.

My son (age 13) and I joined this hike on a gorgeous day in late June. The guides, Meg and Marisa, were knowledgeable, professional, patient, engaging and fun. The group moved at an appropriate pace, and there was lots of good information shared that we wouldn't have learned otherwise. There were a couple of great surprises on the trip route too, which I don't want to spoil. We stayed in the park for several days, and we kept applying what we learned on this trip - identification of trees & rocks, Alice's trail markings, etc... A fabulous trip. Remember to come with lots of water & be ready to hike at significant elevation... it's harder than it sounds!
