Very nice experience with some enjoyable entertainment aboard the train. The trip was pretty long, but overall it was nice to ride instead of driving. The town of Williams was awesome and had the best little dinner that we had breakfast at and actually made a detour to the next day on the way to Hoover Damn!

We paid $460 for 2 round trip tickets on Sunday 9/4/2022. We were promised a train car with no children and it was quite the opposite. The train broke down and we ended up with a 4 hour train ride with a 1/2 dozen screaming kids. Our credit card was also charged a duplicate charge when the attendant told us it didn't go through it actually went through twice. Not worth the $ or the aggravation, would definitely drive next time.

The train trip to the Grand Canyon was wonderful and I recommend it highly. I like trains and on certain Saturdays in the summer they use a steam engine to pull the train instead of the diesel engine that they usually use. The coach class car was very clean, comfortable and air conditioned which was nice as it was a hot day at the canyon. The Pullman cars are not air conditioned but do have windows that open. All GCR employees were efficient and friendly. Cameron, the tour guide in our car was entertaining and knowledgeable and added so much to the trip. I hope GCR realizes what an asset he is for their business. There were musicians as well as train robbers who provided entertainment during the trip. If you can, I recommend booking for one of the Steam Saturdays in the summer so you can see, hear and feel what it is was like to ride the rails back in the day. Loved it! 🚂 ❤️
