What To Expect

Grand Canyon South Rim

After arriving by bus at the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim, your tour guide will brief you on the highlights of the Grand Canyon so you can make the most of your time here. You will have three (3) hours of free time to explore this wonder of the world at your own pace. Your deli-style lunch can be taken with you to enjoy at one of the lookout points.

The ride on the tour bus was the most I had ever done in a day but it was comfortable and the amazing view at Grand Canyon made it all worthwhile. There were lots of people jockeying for position to take pictures at Mather Point but the crowd thinned as we walked along the trail. The view was amazing and the trail was easy to complete in 2 hours with plenty of photos and some pauses taken along the way. Our guide Whally was very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting facts and stories about Hoover Dam, Route 66 and Grand Canyon. Highly recommended.

This was a long ride but worth it. Unfortunately our bus driver did not know how to work the narration or video for the bus portion of the trip. I also felt that some key details about meeting times,etc.. were not conveyed very well.

The locations we visited were worth the price but the bus was cramped and uncomfortable. I mentioned twice to the guide that we could not hear him clearly at the back end of the bus but he didn't turn up the volume so we didn't hear most of what he said. This was particularly annoying when he was announcing the hotel drop offs and I had to go up each time to ask which stop this was. Unfortunately, we had one inconsiderate oaf who delayed our departure for more than an hour by not showing up at the departure time. Not Sweetours fault but factor this possibility in your plan if you go. I think we all should have been refunded a bit of our fare, or he should be charged an additional "stupid fee."
