We booked the tour not thinking how long the tour (17 hours) would be. Our guide (Earl) was really knowledgeable and Driver (Shannon) was patient and safe. Being a first timer in doing this type of a Bus tour we did not calculate how much of the journey would be just inside the bus as well as how much time we would (reasonably) get at the actual destination (Grand Canyon). Being perhaps spoiled by doing most of these tours independently by car - we always had the comparison of flexibility (in your own transportation) in one vs (not having to) drive (convenience) in other. Overall experience was good although tiring. We did have some mix-up with out Lunch (being a vegetarian)...were offered only fruit only to later realize we did have some salad (no sandwich) after all. The only other downside was that we were the first ones to be picked up (around 6am Sharp - however last to climb on the actual tour bus) but the last ones to be dropped (around 11p). It almost became a drag at the end stuck in Las Vegas traffic knowing we were so close to our hotel. The only suggestion I would have to the tours company is to have the seat numbers allocated before hand as when we arrived at the actual tour bus all the seats were taken and there were no places for a family of 4 to be seated together. Also please give some decent and similar lunch to vegetarian folks as you give to others (a proper meal/sandwich). This is more important as there are no places that you stop at that offers anything decent on veg menu. Lastly, have fewer stops while going - I remember taking at-least 3 comfort stops while going and only only one dinner/comfort stop while coming, you would actually save some precious time that could be well spend exploring grand canyon.
