The Park Service is limiting group sizes to 9, while we are not putting multiple groups in a van, which can mean we have limited availability. We encourage everyone to wear masks & it has been mandated for our guides by Coconino County.

What To Expect

Grand Canyon South Rim

Your tour starts from your Flagstaff hotel with morning pickup by a knowledgeable, informative local guide. Upon meeting your group, you will be regaled with stories of the geology and natural history explanations of how the Grand Canyon came to be.

With only one day to spend at the GC, we wanted to maximize the time, so opted for a tour. This group got great reviews here, so we booked. Our tour guide was Dustin. He was prompt in picking us up at our hotel on the Park property, and he was a thoroughly informed and interesting guide. I am always impressed by guides who maneuver the vehicles in and out of parking lots and around traffic, all the while telling us what we should be looking at and answering questions. Dustin’s knowledge of the geology of the Canyon as well as plants is impressive and helpful. The day included a trip out of the Park to the Cameron Trading Post on the Navajo Reservation for lunch. It was sub-par and a waste of time. Lunch could have been better handled within the Park and saved a round trip back and forth. Especially for the people who join the tour in Flagstaff, this is a lot of time on the road! We came away with a new level of appreciation for this great geologic wonder that is the Grand Canyon and applaud Canyon Dave’s efforts to share it.

Keaton was an amazing addition to our vacation, was very knowledgeable on what to look for that most tourists overlook while visiting the Grand Canyon, was very patient and accommodating, not to mention easy on the eyes. ;-) My partner and I enjoyed the pace, and the lunch was amazing, and although it was a full van of people, it still felt like a small group to guide ratio. We'd definitely recommend Keaton and this tour company to anyone.

We greatly enjoyed our tour. Dustin was entertaining, educated and engaging. It was a great way to learn more about what we were seeing, allowing us to really experience the magic of the canyon. I definitely recommend the tour but found it a bit pricey especially since we were staying in the park. For those coming from Flagstaff, I wouldn't balk at the price at all. That's the only reason I rated four stars and not five.
