Dave needs to revamp his tour. We booked the Ultimate all day tour. We ended up being the only customers in a tour set up for 15. Our Guide, Elizabeth was extremely knowledgeable about the canyon's history and geology. We were picked up at the B&B we were staying at in Williams at 0815. We were driven to the South Rim of the Canyon, about an hour. We spent the morning visiting the two main overlooks near the village, Mather and Yavapai. We visited a third overlook / point where we had our geology lesson. When we finished it was determined it was time for lunch at the "Indian Reservation" What they do not tell you on their website is the Indian Reservation is an hour outside the Canyon. Lunch is supposedly authentic "Indian" food. It was very good roast beef. Then the trek back to the canyon to see as much as we could in the little time left. I, personally wanted to see as much of the canyon as I could. A three hour block taken out of the day prevented us from visiting Desert View, which according to our B&B host is the best view of the Canyon. Also, since the 15 passenger van is considered a private vehicle, they are not permitted to visit the West end of the South Rim. If you want to visit Cameron, the Indian Reservation, tenths is a good tour for you. If you just want to see the canyon, drive there yourself, park, and hire Canyon Dave for the half day tour. You can spend your afternoon visiting what they leave out.

Our guide, Elizabeth, was prompt, informative and very outgoing. She expounded on numerous facets of the canyon that we would never have known from brochures or on our own. Anyone could drive from point to point but not anyone could show you the amazing sights and history while keeping everyone in our van involved. We would highly recommend this tour and our wonderful guide.

I really hate to give this only 3 stars! Yes we were picked up at hotel, snacks and beverages were provided, lunch at trading post from special menu. Really was hoping to stop more at the scenic sights in the canyon and less travel which was in a big old passenger van, not very comfortable. We ended up with a different tour guide from the other great reviews. We felt that we did not get our money's worth. We would have been better to drive ourselves.
