Your tour starts from your Flagstaff hotel with morning pickup by a knowledgeable, informative local guide. Upon meeting your group, you will be regaled with stories of the geology and natural history explanations of how the Grand Canyon came to be.

Our guide, Dustin, did a great job relating to the people in our group. He had kids who asked him a million times, "What is this rock?", college age girls who wanted to go off and do their own adventuring, and then a near-retired couple who moved slowly. He was very patient with all of us! I wish that more time could have been spent at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon instead of taking 30 minutes to travel outside the park to eat at Cameron, 30 minutes back from Cameron to the Grand Canyon and then 1 hour to shop in Cameron at the Navajo shop. The company was good at communicating with me that Dustin would be late picking us up due to road construction and traffic.

This is a great option if you're looking for a full day long tour. We decided to stay in Flagstaff Arizona because the tour guide picks up people from the hotels there 1st and we wanted to get a good seat in the Van. It was about an hour drive to get to the Grand Canyon but It was very scenic and we got to talk to the tour guide, Keaton, About the wildlife and and the forest surrounding. Keaton is very knowledgeable. He has a degree in Life Science and History. Our tour guide gave us a lot of information about the biology, ecology, geology and history of the Grand Canyon. It was amazing to spend a full day with an expert. He left no questions unanswered. In between the stops, the tour guide would provide more Historical facts about the discover of the Grand Canyon and the early exploration expeditions. He also talked about the history of the Native Americans as we were driving through the Reservation.
