What To Expect

Grand Canyon South Rim

Your tour starts from your Flagstaff hotel with morning pickup by a knowledgeable, informative local guide. Upon meeting your group, you will be regaled with stories of the geology and natural history explanations of how the Grand Canyon came to be.

Excellent tour!! Did the 8 hour tour. Our guide was very knowlegable of the Grand Canyon. Snacks provided on the bus and a great southwestern luncheon was served

From the time she picked us up at the Great Western in Tusayan, Dora was just delightful! We ended up as the only 2 on the tour (seasonal benefit) on a warmer then normal day and Dora treated us royally. She is extremely knowledgable on her own but always gives her husband Dave some credit. We learned so much about the Canyon that we never knew. Then we continued our knowledge increase in the Painted Desert/Navajo nation area. Dora continued to amaze us with her knowledge. DO NOT HESITATE to book Canyon Dave!

Our late-October tour led by Canyon Dave's wife, Dora, was a splendid experience. Dora, who is a deeply knowledgeable naturalist, provided us with a great deal more than merely a close-up look at the canyon-- which, of course, is magnificent, but there's a lot more to come away with than just the view. We learned an enormous amount about the flora and fauna of the area-- and of course the geology, which is what it's all about. She also has a terrific sense of humor, and energy to spare. I'd highly recommend this tour, without any hesitation.
