The Park Service is limiting group sizes to 9, while we are not putting multiple groups in a van, which can mean we have limited availability. We encourage everyone to wear masks & it has been mandated for our guides by Coconino County.

What To Expect

Grand Canyon South Rim

After entering the park we will make stops at multiple viewpoints, spending time at each one as our guides help explain what you are seeing in terms of hundreds of millions of years of geology, thousands of years of human history, and the complex and diverse ecosystems of Grand Canyon.

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour of GC with Jon. From the time he picked us up at the hotel we were getting non-stop information. He knew how to avoid the crowds and it was so nice for him to worry about driving and parking etc. not us. He took very good care of us on a hot day and answered all our questions. Very glad we took the tour.

John, our host and guide from Grand Canyon Dave Tours, was beyond great! Knowledge, personable, accommodating. He brought the wonderful Grand Canyon experience to a different level. Worth every penny! Viewpoints were great, lunch was great, and the small group with an air conditioned van made it very comfortable! If I could give this 10 stars I would!

Must say, this tour checked all the boxes for us! We booked the half day private tour just for the two of us and it did NOT disappoint! We drove from our AirBnB in Flagstaff to Tusayan and met Keaton, our tour guide, at the McDonalds at 9:15am. He drove us into the park and within 20 minutes, we were already out of the van for our first of at least 7 stops. Having a tour guide is the way to go…no worries on parking, endless cold water, knowledgeable about the history, and the best part - a photographer - Keaton knew all of the great spots to to our pictures which we will always have and truly treasure. A breathtaking tour. He also answered all of our questions and was so kind. They normally do a group tour for the day (which includes lunch and a stop at a geographical museum) which sounded exhausting to us (but some may of course love that!). With the private tour, we said we wanted to see as many views as possible within the half day. We absolutely did - avoided the busy village and off to the east part which has the better views, less crowds (especially going earlier in the morning), and were back in Tusayan by around 12:15-12:30 where we were able to grab a super healthy lunch (wraps) on our own (which we prefer) at the Foodie Club. Back to Flagstaff by 2:30 to relax and get cleaned up for dinner on the town! Don’t book with anyone else - this tour company is the BEST! Keaton made this experience a tour we will never forget…a tour of a lifetime!
