What a great day this was! The feeder bus picked up at our hotel exactly on time, and we soon met up with the main coach party. As we boarded we were given a light breakfast snack and bottled water, which was also available throughout the day. Our driver for the day was Walter, and he kept us entertained with his stories and advice about what to do - and not to do! - when in Vegas. We also stopped off for a few snaps at the Hoover Dam, and a small town called Dolan Springs.
On arrival at the Canyon we had three and a half hours to spend there, and Walter gave advice about how best to use that time at each of the 3 points on the courtesy bus shuttle. Needless to say, the views were spectacular, and it would be great to revisit at some of the other viewing points one day.
We had a lovely lunch at the Hualapai Ranch, before making our way back via the shuttle bus to the drop off/pick up point at the airport..... There we enjoyed a cup of coffee and browsed the shop before making our way back to Walter and our journey back through the Mojave Desert. One final comfort break made at Arizona's last stop, and then back to base in time to see an evening show. An extremely enjoyable day!

So great!! Shouldn't be missed. Our bus driver Derek was great! He was funny and gave tidbits of information during the ride. The Hoover Dam was great again Derek had a lot of very great information and he was fun. I wish I was able to go into the Dam but that is another tour. When you arrive at the Grand Canyon the bus driver hands you over to shuttle bus drivers that drive a loop between 3 different spots. We happen to have a horrible weather day a lot of snow, wind, sleet but I'm still thrilled I went. I added the extra ticket for the Sky Walk which was fantastic even on a horrible weather day you can see the beauty of the Canyon. One thing I did not know in advance is that no cameras are allowed on the Sky Walk. When you walk in they give you a locker for all your belongs, including purse, backpack, cameras, and phones. You can not take anything they wand you before you walk out. I was told that they do that because things could be dropped on the glass and crack it or dropped over and lost forever. I would have really liked to take my own photos. You can buy pictures in the gift shop - I didn't. When we got to the top for viewing and lunch we found out that the restaurant at the top level does not have indoor seating and we weren't going to eat in the snow so we took the shuttle back down to the first stop which is a replica of an old west town. It is very cute and fun for pictures. Turns out I loved the restaurant which is really a cafeteria you get a choice of pork ribs or roasted chicken with 2 sides, corn bread, and a cookie - that's it so don't go looking for anything else. The food was excellent and the people working there were great. The stops along the way from Vegas to the Canyon were little places and great to get a local feel. I would highly recommend this tour.
