Overview

Our signature flightseeing and glacier landing tour, includes 30 mins of helicopter flight seeing and 30 mins landed at 3 unique Glacier inclusive areas including on the glacier itself. This tour includes a high alpine landing where you will have 30 mins to see the grand size of the 5 mile wide and 29 mile long Knik Glacier with a birds eye view. Your second landing takes you to a massive 100 foot ice wall where form a safe distance you may even be able to see the massive ice calve . After 30 minutes safely exploring you are then relocated to the glacier landing right in the middle of Knik Glacier, where you can get out of the helicopter and spend about 30 minutes exploring ice thousands of years old with your pilot/guide. See the azure blue melt pools (summer), crevasses and the bizarre ice formations created by water, wind and the sun. During your flight seeing, keep your eyes open for the area wildlife to include Moose, Mountain Goats, Dall Sheep, Bears and even wolf on occasion!

Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 250 pounds including clothing and luggage will be required to pay a surcharge. This is payable directly to the tour operator.
CHECK IN is 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. If you arrive late, your tour may be shortened or rescheduled and additional cost may be applicable.
SERVICE ANIMALS are permitted if they are secured in a crate only. Call for specifications
Restaurant Service is available on site May 1 - September 30. Snacks are available year round for purchase.
TRANSFERS AVAILABLE FOR A COST ON REQUEST WITH OPERATOR FOR THE 10:15AM, 12:30PM, 4:30PM and 6:30PM TOUR TIMES
WINTER TOURS - October - April -we are unable to land on top of the glacier due to snow cover. We will land next to the glaciers near the massive ice formations
Guests 300lbs or over require our Astar Helicopter to fly. This is not available for every time/day.Please call direct to assure we have that helicopter available to accommodate prior to booking.

We were in Alaska for 3 weeks in July 2020. This is my #1 favorite thing that I did in Alaska (we did various excursions including 3 other heli tours and they were all awesome, but this is my #1. Hands down). Our family wanted to give a special thank you note to our pilot Steven for allowing us to be awed by this indescribably beautiful, spectacular, mesmerizing nature. No word can justify what we saw. We hope for the best for you and your family, Steven. The Knik helicopter tour is, in my honest opinion, very underrated. I encourage you to go and experience this magical place yourself. I couldn't make a decision among Girdwood, Knik, and Seward helicopter tours, and in the end, I made the best choice. No doubt about it. The glacier water tasted soooooooo good. The time we had here, we will not forget.

I can honestly say this is by far one of the coolest things we’ve ever done!!! Pam was out pilot & she was exceptional! She landed us in a perfect spot on the Knik glacier, it was flat enough to walk around, the pools were amazing & we were not rushed at all. She flew us over a beautiful valley on the way back & even pointed out all the wildlife, the moose were drinking in a stream. I promise you, this is one you will never forget!!! P.S don’t forget your water bottles, you can bring home glacier water!

Gave this trip to my boyfriend for his birthday! We enjoyed every minut of it. We stayed at the knik river lodge and the helicopter is right in front of the lodge. We saw lots of (bull) mooses and even beavers. And the glacier is looking good from a helicopter view. We had a nice time on the glacier and made some nice pictures! The staff is super friendly. We give them a 10!!!!!!!
