Standing on the circle on the stage where so many legends of REAL country music also stood and to think they have been here, is just awe inspiring.

This was such an amazing tour and gives so much perspective into why these artists are even more incredible than you already think. The video to kick off the tour is so well done and very touching. I had goosebumps. It's an easy walking tour. It's around 45 minutes from start to finish. We carried our seven month old instead of bringing in a stroller (I'm not sure what the rules are there). Very well done and loved our tour guide (I'm pretty sure her name was Madeline).

stayed in Nashville downtown so to minimize using our car. Used Vacations Made Easy to get the Opry backstage tix. Was directed to go to Vacations Made Easy facility near the Gaylord complex to pick up tickets. We Uber-ed there and was issued tickets (of course we let the driver go because we figured we had arrived............no such luck). Was then told that the venue was a good mile away and that we could either Uber there or walk. Since we were close to show time and didn't want to bother an Uber for a 1 mile trip we didn't call them. A man who might have been a manager then asked what my complaint was ( I was very vocal when told of the pending hike) and I discussed with him the lack of getting tix online as well as the unexpected hike in the hot Nashville sun. He gave me an unconvincing rap about ticket fraud etc. and that this was the reason for picking the tix up in person. I was surprised that this concern about security didn't include their asking me for an ID when they gave me the tix. NO offer of giving two elderly people a ride to the venue. NO we are sorry for the inconvenience. And it was close to two miles away than one because of where the Opry sits in the Gaylord property. He told us we could walk along a busy highway via a path worn into the grass by previous clients walking to the venue. I was pissed but hopefully wasn't rude to the guy. It might have been a mile to the complex but once you get to the Gaylord complex it is a looonnnggg way back to the Opry. We are among those annoying people who count their daily steps and our app registered almost 2 miles total. I should be thankful that it wasn't raining!!! These guys have no concern for their customers at all.
