BrushBuck Wildlife Tours
After early morning pickup from your Jackson Hole hotel, your naturalist guide takes you into Grand Teton National Park. Even in the quiet of a snowy winter, wildlife can be spotted in the park and your guide knows where to look for animals. On any given day, you could see moose, bison, bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer, bald eagles, golden eagles, pronghorn, coyotes, or even wolves as you explore the park. At midday, come in from the cold to enjoy lunch in the famous western cowboy town of Jackson, Wyoming. After lunch, head back outside for a horse-drawn sleigh ride at the National Elk Refuge. Snap social media–worthy pics of the large herds as your guide explains how the elk migrate from the surrounding area to the refuge, a 24,700-acre (9,996-hectare) winter sanctuary to 47 different mammals and nearly 175 species of birds such as trumpeter swans and bald eagles. At the end of a memorable 8-hour tour of this winter wonderland, your guide returns you to your hotel where your tour ends.

Our guide, Kyle, was wonderful. He was Very knowledgeable and very personable. Our trip was amazing...he found us 5 moose, bear in a tree eating hackberries and of course elk with their harems. He was everything and more that you would want in a guide. An amazing late afternoon tour. We would use him again.

We took the tour on our first full day in Jackson to acclimate ourselves to the altitude before a week of skiing. What a great experience! Our tour guide, Daniel, was amazing in finding wildlife and setting up the scope that allowed us to see a moose and wolf that were in the distance. He was incredibly knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the wildlife. He also went out of his way to return my lost sunglasses the next day. The Elk Refuge was also very interesting.

We enjoyed getting so close to the elk. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the elk, the environment and how they are working to conserve the natural beauty of the area and the elk. The slave drawn wagon was a fun experience even though the winds were chili for our trip.

Being out on the National Elk Refuge as part of our Winter Wonderland tour is an amazing experience. Being on the horse drawn sleigh gives you the opportunity to get very close to the wildlife. We are glad that you enjoyed your tour and would love to see you come back and join us again for another winter tour in Grand Teton National Park, or summer tour in either Grand Teton or Yellowstone National Park.
