I've lived in Atlanta for two years and decided to get to know the city a little better by going on the local tours. This one was excellent! A great way to see the city by foot especially parts where I would not normally go to, learn a lot about it's history and get to taste some delicious food en route at places I wouldn't have thought about visiting. Would definitely recommend this tour and will be taking my visitors on it.

This is one of the coolest things I have ever done. If you love food and love culture I highly recommend this tour. Akila has a way of introducing you to incredible restaurants and food while tying in the history of both the city of Atlanta and the food itself. Everything was absolutely delicious--I already went back to one of the restaurants. Great idea for a date, birthday, family outing, any occasion really. I have lived around Atlanta for eleven years and this is easily one of the best things I have done since living here.

This walk takes you through some of the history of Atlanta by way of its culinary roots. The tour combines a walk through the physical part of old downtown Atlanta with a trip through the flavors of the south. I lived in Atlanta for four years during my time at Georgia Tech and never saw this part of Atlanta. It was an eye opener to see what great food is being served in Sweet Auburn and other neighborhoods on the tour. If you want to learn something about Atlanta's past and explore it's culinary roots and future, this is the walk for you.
