Akila was a great, attentive tour guide. The history she recounts is principally about the history of African-Americans in Atlanta, and of MLK Jr. in particular. The food was good, diverse, and satisfying. The best part of the tour for me was walking through different parts of the city and having someone point out interesting aspects of the city planning (or not), architecture, and history. Great for people from Greater Atlanta as well as for guests from outside the city.

My family and I took the Atlanta Food Walks tour on July 10th. Akila was an excellent guide and extremely knowledgeable about not only food, but Atlanta history and architecture that we passed along the way. Several of the restaurants were particularly amazing, such as the shrimp and grits from Sweet Auburn Seafood. All in all it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend it for anyone travelling to Atlanta.
