Nice tour of the Great Salt Lake with descriptions of the topography, historical significance, and a description of the adjacent copper mine. I would recommend this tour .

We opted to take a guided tour to see the lake. Jim was our driver and very nice and informative. We had a bird watcher on our tour and she was looking for a red headed black bird. Jim took the time to stop and give us the opportunity to see if we could find it and we did! The birder was very excited. It's a nice drive to the lake and back. I recommend taking this tour. You learn some historic facts about the city and lake, meet some nice people, and you may even see a bird you've never seen before.

Overall, the tour is excellent. The bus driver -who was also the tour guide- was knowledgeable about the lake, its surroundings, the City and its history. He was really respectful, nice and very jovial. And albeit the trip is really a short visit to the relatively small Great Salt Lake State Park -and its gift shop- it is an excellent choice for us people who are first-time visitors to SLC and do not have a car nor the means to get one; and is the right choice in terms of price and time to get to the shores and see the Great Salt Lake.
