What To Expect

Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park is legendary. You’ve seen it in a ton of films, it’s the unofficial campus of NYU students and you’ll see some of the coolest people in the city here. Feed pigeons. Hear musicians and watch street performers. You never know what to expect. Oh except for the mighty arch which is, of course, renowned.

The Stonewall Inn

The Stonewall Inn is such a huge historical site - literally and figuratively. We pass by the prideful institution as well as its new statue which was installed to commemorate it’s 50th anniversary.

Our 2nd food tour with Dante and a splendid time was had by all! The food was outstanding, the company engaging, and the walking/talkling/weather could not be beat. Plenty of interesting historical sites and if Dante did not know the answer, he found out the answer before we got to the next stop! And the food: from Italian fried cheese-filled rice balls, bagels, crispy fries, fallafel, and pizza (at TWO stops!), ending with your choice of cupcake . . . no need to plan lunch! If you like food, history, and learning about Greenwich Village, this is the tour for you. Dante and the delicious food will fill your head and your stomach!

The wealth of knowledge Dante has brought the history of Greenwich to life - the foodie places we visited were first class Dante obviously loved his job and his personality and enthusiasm shine through We travelled from Scotland and would thoroughly recommend this tour

This tour is amazing and Dante is the best! He is very knowledgeable about the places we visited, the food, and the landmarks around Greenwich Village. He planned everything out so the tour ran smoothly at a comfortable pace. We covered a lot of ground, but never felt rushed. All of the food was delicious and fresh. I would absolutely take another tour with Dante and can't recommend this experience enough. Thanks for sharing your afternoon with us and showing us around!
