This was a great way to taste a variety of delicious food while exploring some beautiful and interesting neighborhoods in NYC while getting some exercise at the same time. Do check the hourly weather forecast (AccuWeather) before you go - I did and was glad I brought a raincoat. Our tour guide, Adam, did a good job keeping us out of the rain, but it was relentless at times.
Everything I tried was delicious, and myself and the other 3 vegetarians in our group were well taken care of. Adam, our excellent tour guide, even verified for me that the fries were cooked in vegetable oil (and fellow vegetarians, this is your chance to have delicious fries that have not been cooked in the same fryer with meat - fries are all they serve). The dipping sauces for the fries were unique and delicious. The artickoke pizza was amazing. The falafel balls were the best I've ever had. I was so full by the end of the tour I took my decadent cupcake to my hotel.
Adam was a great tour guide, with a lot of interesting information, and he connected well with everyone in the group. I also enjoyed chatting my fellow foodies in the group - even though I was travelling solo they were friendly and personable .
I highly recommend this food tour!
