What To Expect

Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park is legendary. You’ve seen it in a ton of films, it’s the unofficial campus of NYU students and you’ll see some of the coolest people in the city here. Feed pigeons. Hear musicians and watch street performers. You never know what to expect. Oh except for the mighty arch which is, of course, renowned.

The Stonewall Inn

The Stonewall Inn is such a huge historical site - literally and figuratively. We pass by the prideful institution as well as its new statue which was installed to commemorate it’s 50th anniversary.

Dante is a great tour guide. He is funny and very knowledgeable about the area. We saw a lot of great sights, laughed and ate plenty of amazing food. I would definitely go back to all the restaurants we ate food at. It is a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours over lunch and learn about Greenwich Village. Definitely recommended!!!

Dante is so much fun and knowledgeable a great easy paced walking tour. All on the level and not difficult at all . Yummy food-top tip don’t eat for a few days before !!!

We've been on several food tours around the world, and this was up there with any of them in terms of fun. Dante is a terrific and very experienced guide, and seems to have worked out a great balance between pointing out the sights of the neighbourhood as we pass them, and discussing the food venues. There are 7 food stops in total, all small local specialists, and over the course of 3 hours it's as much as most people can eat – but it's NYC local food, so don't expect it to be light on the carbs! Food is all included, as is a bottle of water, although there are chances to buy more drink and several restroom opportunities. A really exceptional experience – thanks Dante!
