What To Expect

Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park is legendary. You’ve seen it in a ton of films, it’s the unofficial campus of NYU students and you’ll see some of the coolest people in the city here. Feed pigeons. Hear musicians and watch street performers. You never know what to expect. Oh except for the mighty arch which is, of course, renowned.

The Stonewall Inn

The Stonewall Inn is such a huge historical site - literally and figuratively. We pass by the prideful institution as well as its new statue which was installed to commemorate it’s 50th anniversary.

This was a very fun and filling tour! Dante promised we'd be full by the end and he kept his promise! Nobody goes away hungry. First off, Dante was a great guide, very friendly, funny, and kept everyone feeling involved. We learned a lot about Greenwich Village. Second, the food, where to start, it was all phenomenal and we got good portions at all places. I love a good slice so the pizza stops were my favorite. If you're at Pommes Frites be sure to try the blue cheese or the black pepper sauces. We'll be back later in the year and are already planning to take his East Village tour. Can't wait!

The tour guide (Dante) was superb. He was friendly and very knowledgeable re: Greenwich Village and its history. Also quite knowledgeable about the restaurants in the area, not just the ones we visited. It is a great area. My daughter (21 years old) loved it as well. Would do another tour with Dante. FYI... The choices below do not include family without teens!

7 great food stops! Each one was exceptional! My personal favorite was Artichoke Pizza. You get plenty of food, so make sure you come hungry (you'll probably still take dessert home with you!) Our tour guide, Dante, was fantastic... personable, knowledgeable, funny, and very attentive. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and it far exceeded our expectations.
