What To Expect

Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park is legendary. You’ve seen it in a ton of films, it’s the unofficial campus of NYU students and you’ll see some of the coolest people in the city here. Feed pigeons. Hear musicians and watch street performers. You never know what to expect. Oh except for the mighty arch which is, of course, renowned.

The Stonewall Inn

The Stonewall Inn is such a huge historical site - literally and figuratively. We pass by the prideful institution as well as its new statue which was installed to commemorate it’s 50th anniversary.

My favorite part of the experience was being able to walk outdoors, eat good food and receive a wonderful tour of the Village! Dante is by far the best tour guide!!

The tour guide, Dante, is very amiable and a pleasure to be around. He knows Greenwich Village well and had a very easy going demeanor. We enjoyed the walk around Greenwich village and learning more about that part of NYC. The food was hit and miss. There are a couple of places that were amazing and are going to be regular stops for us on return trips to NYC. There were other foods that were new to us, which was great to try, but not really up our alley. There was only one food item that made us scratch our heads and wonder why it was even on the tour. (They were cupcakes that were fine, but nothing more special than many other cupcakes out there). Overall we're glad we went. There were 10 of us on the tour, and it never felt like too many.

Wow!! Nice Guy indeed! We had a wonderful, informative, fun and delicious tour - plus Dante is exactly as promised - a VERY Nice Guy. He made sure everyone was having fun, enjoying the food and learning along the way. I would give the tour more than five stars if I could. Dante is a New Yorker with a big heart and a real desire to share his passion for food and love of the neighborhood. You'll love this tour!!
