What To Expect

Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park is legendary. You’ve seen it in a ton of films, it’s the unofficial campus of NYU students and you’ll see some of the coolest people in the city here. Feed pigeons. Hear musicians and watch street performers. You never know what to expect. Oh except for the mighty arch which is, of course, renowned.

The Stonewall Inn

The Stonewall Inn is such a huge historical site - literally and figuratively. We pass by the prideful institution as well as its new statue which was installed to commemorate it’s 50th anniversary.

Genuinely one of the highlights of our trip. Dante the guide was friendly, informative and knew his stuff. The restaurants/food stops were all well chosen and the walk in the middle was a very good idea to walk some of the calories off. The last cupcake (and the option to take out) was my highlight but my husband raved about the pizza and my daughter loved the falafel. A great way to explore the area (which is slightly off the well beaten tourist track). We combined this with a trip to Chelsea market and a walk along the High line. Brilliant.

Delivered as promised, right from the start. Dante is a great host with a group size of 11. We went to around 7 or 8 places and had so much food. A lovely area of the city to do a walking tour, so totally different to the usual tourist areas in Manhattan. All the places offered great food, all included in the tour price, and there was plenty. The best bit, being able to take out from Mollys Cup Cakes and eating it later in the evening with glass of wine! Totally recommend this trip, one of the very best things we did in NY

Dante does a superb job as a tour guide. His extraordinary people skills are evident as he engages every person in the group, making them feel at ease. The sites he chooses are great, and not terribly far from each other. He knows the area and knows how to promote the great food in this neighborhood. This is a must.
