We chose Eclipse Charters for a whale watching trip in mid-September and were not disappointed in any way. The description of their boat is very understated. We were surprised to find comfortable, nicely upholstered seats with tables for all the passengers inside the cabin. The weather was perfect so most of our time was spent outside either on the upper or lower decks. They provided binoculars which allowed each of us to have our own set. There were two very knowledgeable naturalists with one on each level of the boat. They had identification books which enabled them to tell us which members of the Orca J-Pod we were seeing and their family lineage. When there was a report of a group of Orca males some distance away, the captain took us to that location for another viewing opportunity. We also viewed many forms of wildlife such as seals, sea lions, porpoise, eagles and numerous sea birds. We highly recommend Eclipse Charters! Don and Denise have years of experience and it certainly shows. Their employees are first rate. What more can be said!

My husband and I went on this excursion. We were hoping to see whales and we did. A mom orca and her calves and several young orca males swam within viewing distance. We were also privileged to see a minke whale. Also viewed were an eagle, sea lions, seals, and a porpoise as well as numerous varieties of water birds. The two naturalists aboard were so helpful and really enhanced the trip. It was great to have them spotting for us and answering all of our questions. Captain Dan was so nice. My husband enjoyed riding with him and swapping stories while cruising in the open waters. Captain Dan was so careful around the whales and other sea critters. He wanted his passengers to have a great trip but he respected and honored the animals' need to be unfettered. All in all, a fantastic trip!

This was the highlight of my trip. The crew was so nice and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond. I would highly recommend this trip. It was perfect day seeing, and hearing, whales. I will go back.
