We live on Orcas Island so we only go on these kinds of trips when we have family or friends visiting from out of town. I recently met Denise Wilk, one of the owners, and decided to try this company for my Mother's 80th birthday present (she was visiting from Detroit). We had used other companies before and Eclipse provided a much more comfortable environment overall for the trip. The boat had a large and comfortable inside seating area, and whale viewing from inside was quite possible. One individual was confined to her seat for the whole trip and she was able to enjoy the experience thoroughly. My Mother is quite steady on her feet for 80, but it was much safer and more enjoyable for her to move about on this boat. The crew was well informed and there was a lot of consideration taken to make sure that seating arrangements were suited to groups that were traveling together. Overall customer service was excellent.

I had an amazing time. It is the best. The boat, crew, and experiance was all clean and educational and amazing. It was a life changing experiance. If you have not seen a whale then you need to with Eclipse Chaters. Dan and Denise Wilk are very smart and amazing people.

Eclipse Charters is the best whale whatching company in the San Juan Islands or even the world. Their boat the Orcas Express is a very nice and clean boat. The Orcas Express rides so smooth. The Orcas Express has a very nice bathroom, kichen area, and wheel house seating. The Orcas Express has indoor and outdoor seating. You can see in all dircetions even inside, their are big windows all the way around the boat. Their is an upper deck where you can see for miles. The boat is one of the best I have ever been on. The crew is very nice and educated. I learned more in one day than I learned in all my school days. I was very inpressed. The crew is very nice and helpful. They are the most experianced crew in the San Juan Islands. Capitan of the Orcas Express Dan Wilk is perfect. He know all about his boat, the waters, and the whales. I thought Eclipse Charthers was amazing the first time, but it gets better. I have gone back to Eclipse Charters for six years now. I have been out to sea with them over 20 times. Every time is differnt and amazing.
