What To Expect

Arizona ATV Adventures

The West Sedona Canyon Tour area is about 8 miles west of Sedona. Make your own way to the departure point and from there, you will be taken to the trailhead in a 15-passenger van. The 3-hour tour begins when you arrive at the trailhead. This is the outback of the West Sedona Valley, where over 40 movies have been filmed over the years. There is over a hundred miles of trails to choose from, which provides your guide with the opportunity to customize each tour based on the age, interests and skill levels of the group. You’ll be awestruck by a view of the Verde Valley from the top of Skeleton Bone Mountain, over 800 feet above the valley floor. And don’t be surprised if some antelope run alongside you as you drive along the valley floor! For your safety and comfort, wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and bring your sunglasses. Also, bring your camera; the views are spectacular!

We visited Sedona for the first time and one the recommendation from friends was to make sure we did the ATV tour. we did our research and did the guided ATV tour with Arizona ATV. It was me, my wife and our kids and we had an amazing time. Donnie was outstanding guiding us through the tour and the the views were incredible. it was the first time for my wife and kids riding ATV and we received all proper training and safety guide. within the first 15 minutes my wife felt very comfortable and was able to enjoy the tour. We stopped in different key spots to take a break and take pictures of the beautiful landscape. We would recommend this tour to anyone that will visit Sedona, it is a must do.

My wife and I had a blast riding the ATVs (Polaris Sportsman 550). I would definitely want to do it again or at least rent an ATV and hit the same trail. How it works is you meet at their office, from there you can either follow them in your own car to the location or ride on their bus. We choose to follow so that we could head straight out after the tour. Once you arrive at the destination you split up into groups depending on how many people there are. We got lucky and had people who ride a bit faster. Our Guide, Lee was awesome glad we got him! FYI make sure you're aware of the $500 security deposit per ATV. Be sure to use a credit card and not a debit because with a debit just like at hotels money is actually withdrawn from your bank account and takes longer to get back especially if it's over the weekend. My Amex was pending and dropped after 1-2 business days.
