What To Expect

Arizona ATV Adventures

The West Sedona Canyon Tour area is about 8 miles west of Sedona. Make your own way to the departure point and from there, you will be taken to the trailhead in a 15-passenger van. The 3-hour tour begins when you arrive at the trailhead. This is the outback of the West Sedona Valley, where over 40 movies have been filmed over the years. There is over a hundred miles of trails to choose from, which provides your guide with the opportunity to customize each tour based on the age, interests and skill levels of the group. You’ll be awestruck by a view of the Verde Valley from the top of Skeleton Bone Mountain, over 800 feet above the valley floor. And don’t be surprised if some antelope run alongside you as you drive along the valley floor! For your safety and comfort, wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and bring your sunglasses. Also, bring your camera; the views are spectacular!

Scheduled the 8am tour to beat the heat. We had a last minute issue and couldn’t make it on the day we originally scheduled. They had no problem moving us to the next morning. Check in was easy. Seemed like just about everyone in our group was a beginner which made me feel better because I had never ridden an ATV. There was a short “driving test” where they explain how to operate the atv and you drive it around in a small dirt track area. They provided helmets, goggles and bandanas and assisted getting them on if needed. We all got in our cars and followed the van with the atvs to the trail. There were two groups and our guide was Alain. He gave us some info on what to expect along the way mixed in with a good sense of humor and knowledge about the area we were riding through. He definitely added to the enjoyment of what was already a fun experience. Expect to get dirty. Expect a bumpy ride in some areas. We stopped a couple times to take pictures and hear about the area from Alain. When he gets a hold of your camera be ready for a photo shoot. He had a cooler with bottled water along with some energy bars for the group. We had an excellent experience from start to finish.

I set this tour up as anniversary present for my husband & I and it was awesome!!! Donnie & Taylor made it so much fun, we were in a big group with all different experience levels and everyone had so much fun. The water & granola bars were a perfect snack and we learned a ton about the area. We will definitely be back to do this again!!!

This was a fantastic ATV tour!! This was a great way to experience Western Sedona. Incredible views of the Red Rocks. We had Tim as our guide and he was an excellent tour guide! My husband and I were both beginner ATV drivers and it was totally doable for us.
