A local favorite and arguably the best area for cycling day trips anywhere in wine country! Discover the beauty and tranquility of these fabled wine regions. Our award winning guides will take you to all our favorite places, prepare a tasty picnic spread, and take you into the vineyards for our “Grapes 101.” We travel 10 to 16 miles and visit 3 wineries on this tour of the Dry Creek Valley. Sticking to the quiet West Dry Creek Rd, this ride is easy and fun for any level of cyclist with small rolling hills and smooth roads. We meet for a bicycle fitting and safety overview at 10:00 am, the first winery stop at 11:00 am, second stop with lunch at 12:00 pm, and third stop at 2:00 pm, and return around 3:30 pm. You will love this Healdsburg bike tour!

Getaway did a wonderful job setting us up for bike rental for our wine country ride. We did road bikes which looked brand new even though 2 of them were last years model. They had them ready and waiting for us with our names on them. Getaway provided helmets and had other things there for purchase like a normal bike shop - water bottles, bike gloves, etc.... They got us fitted on the bikes, provided maps and directions and pointed us to a great place for lunch when we told them our route. Their high level of service certainly helped set us up for a wonderful day of riding up the valley. We rode for one morning but the experience made us think that a great trip would be to ride every morning and then do tastings in the afternoon. We highly recommend these folks.

We had an amazing time on our three day bike tour of the Sonoma County wine country. The first day we did the guided Sip and Cycle tour. It was beautiful and very relaxed. Our guides were very knowledgeable and super friendly. We had a lot of fun with them and our fellow cyclists. We did three wine tastings, the second one at the same winery where we enjoyed our picnic lunch. The final winery was a tasting room in Healdsburg, very close to the bike shop. ( Just a tip if you do the Sip and Cycle tour, spit or pour out a portion of the wine you taste. You still have to cycle! ) The second and third days, we were on our own with maps and recommendations for places to stop for lunch and wineries to visit. Some of their recommendations we followed and other places we discovered on our own. Getaway Adventures staff was very helpful all the way through. The package included a lovely stay at River Belle Inn across the street, one nights dinner at a delicious local spot and great suggestions and support. They are super helpful! If you visit wine country and like to cycle, definitely check them out!

We had an amazing day bike touring through the vineyards with Getaway Adventures. It truly made it an authentic experience to bike to the vineyards, to breath in the fresh air and sample the various wines. Our tour guide did an exceptional job providing us with information, keeping us safe and allowing us to go at our own pace. We could not have asked for a better day!
