We had a wonderful time. We are local to Fort Myers and wanted to enjoy something our area has to offer. Gail was knowledgeable on the area and we saw a variety of native animals and had time exploring the water for shells and sand dollars. Not only did we get to enjoy our beautiful waters, but we got to experience mangrove tunnels which we were not aware existed. We definitely recommend this tour for when people come to visit us and for locals alike who want to explore something new. We will definitely be returning!

I would take the self guided tour. The guided tour was brutal. The first 30 minutes was nice and relaxing, then the remaining 2.5 hours felt like I was in training for the Olympic rowing team. It is NOT what we were expecting. There were only 8 of us, we were in back and couldn't hear the guide at all, lots of times if they stopped for a second, when we caught up, the "break" was over and onward. We never heard the guide, and never got a rest. It was basically 2.5 hours of NON stop paddling. I would not recommend to anyone. It was not relaxing, didn't see any wildlife but birds, and it was like a day at the gym. We were hoping for a nice, relaxing, informative, stop and take a few pictures tour, but instead got a heavy duty workout. We should've done the self guided tour, the mangroves were cool, but going through the busy open waters and dodging the obstacle course of sandbars with the high winds was not.

Thank you for your review! I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the tour. Kayaking can be somewhat strenuous, especially on windy days, so in the future I would suggest kayaking on a less windy day. I wish we could have perfect weather conditions every day, but some days are just more challenging than others. Again, I apologize that you didn't have an enjoyable experience, but short of controlling the weather or cancelling your boooking, I don't know that there is much we could have done to change anything.
