Tom Lee Park

Pass by Tom Lee Park, named after Tom Lee, a worker who jumped into the river to save the lives of 32 passengers of a sinking steamboat in 1925. Along the way, you'll learn all about the history of the river and discover how Mississippi influenced commerce in Memphis and the surrounding areas. After this combo tour, you’ll be taken back to your hotel.

We have found this experience pretty poor. The tour guide spoke with a very heavy southern accent and it was hard to understand her. We believe that a tour guide should speak a clear american, understandable to every tourist also the ones coming from abroad. We speak good english and during the tour we had really some issues with it. Then we had too many breaks and we had to wait 90 minutes, after the tour guide left us, for the river boat cruise. A waste of precious time in the heat...

Thanks for your feedback. Our tour guides are from the south so to you they may have an accent so sorry for the language barrier. The 75 minutes break is to allow the customers to have time to have lunch and explore our famous Beale St. before the start of the second part of the tour which has been requested by the customers. This tour starts at 9:30am and ends at 4:00pm
