This was our first visit to Savannah. Although I consider myself fairly well-read about the people and events of the American Civil War, my knowledge of Savannah's role in the conflict had been lacking. Keith began the tour by asking each of us what we wanted to get out of the tour. He proceeded to do a wonderful job of meeting our expectations. By focusing on the people from Savannah involved in the war, including the young men who were killed at first Manassas/Bull Run, and whose local pastor had to subsequently officiate at their funeral, he made the Civil War experience personal! Keith frequently quoted verbatim from letters and journals, and his passion for Savannah and the era of the Civil War was clearly evident. Keith solicited questions, and could provide extensive supplementary information about the topics and people we were curious about. Finally, the ear-pieces were a very nice touch, and very necessary amid all the city noise. I could not recommend this tour more highly. Thank you!

Tour was informative and a great way to spend a couple of hours touring historic Savannah. We visit Savannah at least once a year, and this tour added a unique perspective to our knowledge of Savannah and its history. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and brought Savannah during the Civil War to life.

Keith knew his subject matter from all views and was very informative. He also made the tour both interesting and educational. Very worthwhile
