Overview

Enjoy a close, personal encounter with the West Indian Manatee as you snorkel with them under the guidance of a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain. Our small group (no more than six guests) tours are conducted daily in the beautiful Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. Get up close and personal with these amazing mammals and learn about the ecosystem and their habitat.

Unlike many tours, these Captains will actually swim with you and your group to ensure that you have a memorable experience. While in the water, your captain/tour guide will take high-definition photos and videos of you and your group which you will be able to view and purchase at the end of your trip.

Your price includes all snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, wetsuit) and complimentary coffee or hot cocoa.

We had a fantastic time with Captain Ron and Lauren, our in-the-water guide. The Other people in the tour didn't show up so it ended up being a private tour! Within minutes we found a mother and baby manatee and we were able to swim right above them and get some amazing footage and pictures. Lauren helped my wife out big time when she was nervous about snorkeling and helped her get the hang of it. It was an excellent time and we would definitely do it again!

My daughter and I went on the manatee swim tour today and had a blast! It’s not really manatee season but Captain Ron and Lauren (two awesome people!) managed to find a few and get us in the water with a very large girl. We then spent time exploring the 3 Sisters Springs which is an absolutely beautiful area. There were plenty of fish to observe there, too. I was impressed with this tour and feel it was an excellent value. Give them a shot if you’re looking for a great experience😁

We weren't in prime manatee season but Captain Ron and Lauren made sure we saw manatees and went out of their way to make our experience was memorable! Lauren was so attentive with my daughters and made sure everyone was comfortable, even me, not the strongest swimmer. You can tell they love the area and the environment. We would absolutely recommend Gulf Coast Expeditions!
