SoHo
The meeting is taken in the heart of SoHo, with its remarkable wrought iron balconies and exterior staircases (the famous cast-iron buildings made famous by West Side Story), and its no less remarkable fashion boutiques!

Greenwich Village
Then towards Greenwich Village, nicknamed “The Village”, a former artistic and bohemian refuge steeped in history, with in particular a stop at Washington Square Park, a space of relaxation very popular with students of NYU but also by chess players and street artists who provide almost permanent entertainment.

Meatpacking District
Finally, you will walk the cobblestones of the Meatpacking District: the old slaughterhouse district has become the new trendy district of the city, the abandoned warehouses have given way to art galleries, craft markets (Gansevoort Market…) and this line aerial railway transformed into a veritable “green flow”, the marvelous High Line!

These tours in French with guides living in NY are really great. They have lots of stories and anecdotes to tell about the neighborhoods. It was clear and a way to discover unusual places that we could not have discovered on our own. Thanks to Fred who accompanied us for this visit but also for Chinatown.
