What To Expect

The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

This is a must-do for animal lovers and equestrians! Dennis Thompson gives a immersive experience. The tour is about 2 hours. 75 minutes or so is spent listening to Dennis tell the story of the Gypsy Vanner history, and how he and his wife brought this breed to America. Then he takes visitors on a walking tour of the farm to meet these beautiful horses. There is plenty of opportunities to pet and love on the horses, donkeys, mules, and goats!

Wonderful family owned and operated farm with an exceptional educational and entertaining presentation. The horses were amazing! The Donkeys were so incredible…we got lucky enough to meet a 5 day old donkey. A must see if your anywhere near the north central part of Florida.

What a wonderful day. Dennis gives an exceptional history talk prior to walking around the farm and seeing the beautiful animals. Would highly recommend this for anyone. This is a hands-on experience. Don’t forget to bring your carrots, the animals love them.
