What To Expect

The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

I'm a horse owner and horse lover. Have always been fascinated by this breed. Great information in this tour and loved meeting and petting this beautiful creatures. If like horses, you'll love this.

I fell in love.......with the horses and the parrots and the charm of the ranch. The hosts were professional, knowledgeable and gracious! The horses were the most beautiful and friendliest horses I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and I've been around horses all of my life! What a remarkable breed and the story that goes along with how they came to be! This is a can't miss experience for the whole family! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We visited in January 2021 and we felt it was well worth the money for the tour. Dennis gave a wonderful overview of the breed and how he came to be involved with these horses. The horses were very friendly plus we loved the parrots. Overall it was a very educational experience.
