What To Expect

The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

Got to see such an amazing breed of horses and learned a lot Dennis and Erin are vary friendly. Definitely will visit in the future they have a lot plained for the farm and I would love to see everything work out and come and see all the new and big plains they have.

This was our second visit to the farm. The setting is beautiful, country at its best, fresh air, beautiful horses and great hosts who make you feel comfortable from the onset. Everyone has a story and Dennis,'s story is so very interesting with his interjection of humor. It held my attention. He is a visionary with dreams that I hope all come true. We enjoyed it and hope you go there and really hear what he has to say.

Highly recommend - This was a fantastic history lesson and tour about Gypsy Vanners and Dennis Thompsons horse farm. Dennis and his wife were wonderful and very personable. Dennis is great to listen too, very informative history lesson also with Dennis's humor makes it very enjoyable. Later you will get a tour and get o pet and take photos with many of his friendly animals. They had a great presentation and tour and they have alot planned for the future of their farm and for tourism. I will be back for sure!
