Haleakala National Park
Enjoy an informative tour of Upcountry Maui, Haleakala National Park and a trip up to the summit. Admire views like no other in this world of the dormant crater as well as bicoastal views of Maui.
3
Kula
Maui’s rich farming and ranching history is still evident by the vast pastures that line the side of the mountain. Kula’s cool weather and rich volcanic soil make the area an ideal spot for a number of Lavender, Protea, and Macadamia Nut farms.
4
Makawao
The Hawaiian Cowboys or Paniolos have roots set deep in the town of Makawao. This small town still has hitching rails at storefronts just as the locals once used to tie up their horses.
5
Paia
Today Pa’ia is a popular surf destination, however, Pa’ia’s history is as intriguing as it is fascinating. Learn about how the Sugar Plantations shaped this town and the culture of the island, and how this small north shore town was once a gathering place for entertainment and fun.

For this tour, I was picked up from my location at 2am and shuttled to the top of the crater. For being so early in the morning, our guide, Eddie, was very engaging, entertaining, and informative. The changing colors emanating from the clouds as the sun began to rise above them was an unearthly sight! We made a second stop for a better look at the crater and more picture opportunities. We finished the tour with a delicious breakfast in Paia. Long morning, so try to get plenty of rest beforehand. And very cold up there! Wear plenty of layers that can be shed later in the morning. Fantastic time! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience for our 50th wedding anniversary..Our driver, Mike, did a great job..On our way down the bus broke down but even that turned out to be fun...A replacement bus was supplied within 20 or 30 minutes...The sunrise over the volcano was simply indescribable..Photos on line don't compare to seeing the splendor in real life...The breakfast stop on the way back was a pleasant surprise and very welcome...The only advice is, "take some warm clothes including gloves." They offer additional coats with hoods before you board the bus--TAKE THEM!

Our family really enjoyed this tour. The sunrise view of Haleakala was amazing and was one of the highlights of our Hawaii vacation. The tour was well-organized and our guide, Michael, provided great narration during the drive and was a great host. The jackets provided were much appreciated as it was cold and windy. Overall a great experience.
