Haleakala National Park
Enjoy an informative tour of Upcountry Maui, Haleakala National Park and a trip up to the summit. Admire views like no other in this world of the dormant crater as well as bicoastal views of Maui.
3
Kula
Maui’s rich farming and ranching history is still evident by the vast pastures that line the side of the mountain. Kula’s cool weather and rich volcanic soil make the area an ideal spot for a number of Lavender, Protea, and Macadamia Nut farms.
4
Makawao
The Hawaiian Cowboys or Paniolos have roots set deep in the town of Makawao. This small town still has hitching rails at storefronts just as the locals once used to tie up their horses.
5
Paia
Today Pa’ia is a popular surf destination, however, Pa’ia’s history is as intriguing as it is fascinating. Learn about how the Sugar Plantations shaped this town and the culture of the island, and how this small north shore town was once a gathering place for entertainment and fun.

I really enjoyed this activity. I haven't biked for a while, but a quick refresher with the tour guide and I was good to go. He had me bike behind him so that if I needed help he could help me. We had nice conversation going down the mountain. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn't really see the sunrise or the crater but the bike ride down was fun and it didn't rain while we were biking down (just towards the end as we neared Haiku).I'm not really an athletic person, but I did fine on this so I would definitely recommend this to everyone! It's ok if it rains, they provide windbreaker tops and pants. I recommend that you bring some waterproof gloves, and wear waterproof shoes in case it is raining. Also, bring a pair of extra socks. I walked through a puddle towards the end and had a slushy right foot. Wish I had different shoes but it was ok :) Also, you need to wear a mask, so bring one!

Eddie and Billie our drivers and guide were very knowledgeable and entertaining. We were picked up at our hotel in Kaanapali at 2:15am to get to their home base office to sign waivers if you haven’t done so and pick up some more guests. We were maximum of 4 couples in a van so it was very comfortable. When we got to the observatory deck, there were plenty of time to set up your camera and situate yourself to the best spot before the splendid show called sunrise began. It was spectacular, I’ve never felt so close to a sunrise before. Definitely a must do while in Maui.

My wife, adult daughter and I took a Maui Bike sunrise tour of Haleakalā, and a ride down the volcano. After a brutal 3 AM pickup at the hotel we were taken to Maui Bike shop and outfitted and traversed up Haleakalā. The weather was spectacular, 43-45 at sunset and there were minimal clouds. After a spectacular sunrise at 6:30 we descended to 6500 feet and saddled up for a sight filled, enjoyable downhill ride. At speeds of about 30 MPH and minimal pedaling we cover the 20+ miles in a couple hours. Multiple stops for pictures and snacks broke up the ride. I would recommend this trip for every level of rider.
