Starting the day at 2am was not fun but this whole experience is worth it. The sunrise was incredible. Our guide Chris was very knowledgeable. We loved being able to take our time riding down the volcano since it was self-guided. The bikes were top notch and we felt safe in the full head helmets!

Amazing! We did the self guided bike tour. You meet at the bike shop and take a van to the top of Haleakala to see the sunrise. Then you bike down. The trip is pretty much all down hill. We had a great time.

This bike tour is a great way to see Haleakala! If you like a bit of adventure and history than definitely think about booking this tour. To get to Haleakala for sunrise you take a bus where your driver will take you through the important details of you decent as well as taking you through Maui’s history. Our tour guide billy was funny and knowledgeable and you could tell that he genuinely made safety his number one priority. After watching the sun rise you explore the national park a bit and then you get suited up with bikes. You do make many switch backs and turns with blind spots, so keep that in mind if you have any inexperienced riders. After getting down the mountain you cruise through the country side and towns which allows you to see a really cool and different side too Maui!
