Rory was a great guide. We did self guided. The sunset was great. It was pretty chilly up there. Going downhill was nice and easy.

Amazing experience that I would recommend to everyone! Yes, it’s a very early morning but so worth it! You’re provided with a helmet, wind breaker/rain coat and backpack! Our guide offered a ton of information on our drive up to the top of Haleakala. Great jokes too! Once you watch the brilliant sunrise, you’re brought a little ways down and given the bikes. This was SO fun! Self-guided was the way to go; making stops here and there and going at your own pace was the best.

So much fun!!! This is my 2nd time doing this sunrise bike ride and I love it. This is the best place— they provide vest, rain jacket, gloves and backpacks. They make it very entertaining on the way up. Highly recommend
