Overall the excursion was great. The arrival time is ungodly, and depending on where you are staying it means getting up at 2:00 or earlier. Tour guide was fantastic, great stories and taught us the bike route backwards and in the dark but such is the nature of a sunrise/biking excursion. The bikes were mountain bikes and are easy to ride but as a road biker, would have loved that option.The full face helmets are bulky and huge and make it so you can’t take good selfies, can’t hear anybody or cars behind, can’t get a drink of water (no water bottle holder anyway), a normal bike helmet would have worked just fine. Also, would have appreciated a little snack before riding so bring one for yourself. The ride is fun and easy, 23 miles went too fast, wanted to go back up and do the first hair pin turn part again. They supply rain gear cause chances are pretty good there will be a shower toward the north end of the ride. It sounds like I was dissatisfied but really it was great. I am glad I did it, just wish there was an experienced rider alternative.

The process was very easy and the guide was very informative on the ride up the mountain. It was cold, I would suggest wearing some gloves. The scenery coming down was as Mark Twain quoted “sublime”!!!
